After studying cinema at the Sorbonne University in Paris, Nicolas Guerin switched to photography and began to work closely with Positif magazine. In 2002, to celebrate the 50th anniversaries of the magazine, its portraits were exhibited worldwide, from Cannes to Yokohama, and at the Institut Lumiere in Lyon. Guerin now divides his time between portraits, fashion, and personal projects. He works from his studio in Montreuil, travels, and collaborates with international publications including GQ, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Wired, Elle, Vogue, Le Monde, Liberation, Studio Ciné Livre, Transfuge, and Io Donna.
He is currently working on a book of American contemporary writers in collaboration with Transfuge magazine, as well as a book on comic strip writers with the Musée de la Bande Dessinée, in Angoulême.
In May 2010, Guerin will return to his roots as Positif dedicates a special issue to him that acknowledges 10 years of mutual loyalty.  Our store in Cannes will display 20 black and white photos of filmmakers and actors who “create” cinema today. -
