After resisting to "Get your high school diploma first!” to "Photographer? Yes all right, but as a job?” and having given up a master's degree in geography, Julien Mignot became a photographer; doubtless because it is a promising work.
Today he works for Le Monde, Libération, Naïve, and Virgin by taking photos of William Christie as well as Radiohead. His “Miss Beaumont” images have been acquired by the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and those from the backstage at fashion shows were exhibited at the Leica Gallery in Solms. After all, it’s the tendency to the rather contrasted situations of his work that we should remember...
And it should not stop soon...
In partnership with Nuits Sonores Festival and agnès b., we are pleased to present photography by Julien Mignot at the agnès b. store in Lyon. A selection of photos will also be exhibited in the Palais de la Bourse (Official Village of the Festival) from May 12 -16, before being displayed at the shop till the end of the exhibition.
